Abstract:

Convenient procedure for the synthesis of corresponding pyrano[2,3-d]pyrimidine derivatives were developed via one-pot three-component reaction of aryl aldehyde derivatives, malononitrile with barbituric acids in the presence of copper (II) chloride dihydrate (CuCl2.2H2O) as highly efficient Lewis acid catalyst. This protocol has advantages such as readily and inexpensive catalyst, high reaction yields, eco-friendly solvent and high atom-economy.

Benign synthesis of N-aryl-3,10-dihydroacridin-1(2H)-one derivatives via ZnO nanoparticle-catalyzed Knoevenagel condensation/intramolecular enamination reaction

An efficient construction of 2-(N-arylamino)benzaldehydes and N-aryl-3,10-dihydroacridin-1(2H)-one derivatives starting from 2- hydroxybenzaldehydes has been developed. The synthesis of N-aryl-3,10-dihydroacridin-1(2H)-ones is based on the Knoevenagel condensation of dimedone to various 2-(N-arylamino)benzaldehydes, followed by an intramolecular enamination in the presence of 20 mol% of nanocry...

Synthesis of spirooxindole derivatives catalyzed by Fe (III)@graphitic carbon nitride nanocomposite via one-pot multi-component reaction

Fe (III) supported graphitic carbon nitride nanocomposite was synthesized by impregnation of FeCl3 with g- C3N4 (Fe (III)@g-C3N4). Then, the synthesis of spirooxindole derivatives was carried out in the presence of Fe (III) @ graphitic carbon nitride nanocompositevia the multi-component reaction of malononitrile, isatins, and 1,3...

One-pot approach to chiral chromenes via enantioselective organocatalytic domino oxa-Michael-aldol reaction.

A highly enantioselective (S)-diphenylpyrrolinol triethylsilyl ether promoted tandem oxa-Michael-aldol reaction of alpha,beta-unsaturated aldehydes with salicylaldehydes has been developed; the method affords one-pot access to chiral and synthetically useful chromenes in high yields and high enantioselectivities from readily available compounds.
